I Hate War.
By: Ibrahim ALAlou
I hate war. War is miserable and innocent people are victims of it all over the world.
Whenever it starts civilians struggle and rush for safety. Just watch the news clip on any channel that has a story about it and the first sight you see is helpless children and elderly people with all misery of the world painted on their faces.
This is one reason to hate it but others are abundant.
People suddenly face the reality of the unexpected. schools and markets have to shut down and hospitals turn to the emergency mode. Supplies start to disappear and businesses get to a sudden halt.
War Lords do not care as long as it is benefiting them but what for God sake what is worth the fear of a pregnant woman fleeing into the streets among the dust and fumes. I watch whole families tucked in large trucks in a very humiliating scenes and deprived of dignity.
There is no reason to justify war.
There is no winners.
All involved are big losers.
Regardless of any justifications war is ugly, inhumane , and worthless.
Imagine how much good we can do with one day of World spending on war.
How many houses, gardens, schools , hospitals and sports arenas we can built. How many diseases can we eradicates and illnesses can we alleviate.
How many trees can we grow and birds can we save.
how many dreams can we fulfill and soothing stories can we tell.
Besides war cost a lot. A whole more from experts say.
When it is over the real agony begins.
People start counting heir losses and start to realize how hard is it going to come from where they left.
War veterans suffer from nightmares and loss of identity and start to ask themselves: was is worth it after all?
Little children seek refuge and search desperately for peace. Every up normal sound shake them relentlessly .
Mothers seem busy all the time trying to make ends meet and look for the basics for survival. Luxury is a dream not reachable.
Is there a way to end all wars on Earth without further delay.
Martin Luther king once said: I have dream.
Can I have one dream: to live on Earth for a year without war on any spot and allocate all its resources to peace.
Can you dream of a picture of the Earth after that one year.
Let us hope it could be true just for the sake of all innocent souls that were lost for no reason at all.
